Looking to try a ride during chritmas break with a couple hybrids and one road bike. Maybe a 50 one day and 50 back the next. Any suggestions on bikes able to do it and maybe some camping spots if not just stay in cheap hotel. Maybe starting at south side and back there next day. Thanks in advance.

I have never biked the trail, but I have jog/hiked it (split up in two days). I now live in Iola and have been hiking on the trail,in smaller sections however. A month after I moved here I broke my leg really bad and am just now getting to where I can walk about 6 miles without too much pain. I don't see many hikers on the trail, which is a shame, but I would like to encourage more to come. T...

I am starting to look into getting a bike Garmin to replace my cycle computer. The problem is I don't even know what to start looking at and what I should be looking for.

Did the whole trail and back Wed (6/15). 13-hr total time is not great on a perfect mild day with perfect trail conditions. The trail was firm from end to end. Saw three bicyclists outside the city limits. Most activity was within them on this weekday.

9/14&16. Finished my two separate-day ride of the PSRT yesterday (72 & 32-miles w/short turnabouts, side-trips, and a lunch in Garnett). The shorter ride Friday gave me more time to enjoy the early-fall country settings. Super!
