Welda Tunnel to be open Friday, October 8th!

Kansas Department of Transportation has announced that the Prairie Spirit Trail tunnel under Highway 169 at Welda will re-open on Friday, October 8th. This opening eliminated the need for either the 3 miles detour or the short ride on the heavily trafficked Colony Road.
The announcement was followed by much rejoicing in the cycling community.
